Srikanth-Vimala Raman film launched
Srikanth’s film titled - Ranga the Donga – was launched at Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad.
The film is made on Goldenline Films banner with GV (Sudhakar Naidu) directing it. The muhurt shot was clapped by hero Balakrishna, while the camera was switched on by D. Ramanaidu with B. Gopal doing the formal first shot direction.
Srikanth said: “Director GV narrated to me the story of the film two years ago. I assured him that I would definitely do it. I am doing a mass role in this film. GV is a good friend of mine and we two hold good understanding of each other. I accepted this project with a lot of belief in the story and the capability of the director. Producer Manohar is doing this film, immediately after my Mahatma.”
Producer Manohar said: “I wanted to do this film with Srikanth after his Mahatma. I am sure that director GV would prove his mettle with this film.”
Music Director Chakri said: “This is my sixth film with Srikanth. The story is excellent. There are five songs and a theme bit in this project. I promised the unit that I would definitely give extraordinary music for this film”.
Jeevi said: “We are introducing several young and new technicians in this film. Srihari is playing the role of a thief. Vimala Raman is the heroine. If we look back at the past, we find several films in which the heroes donned the roles of thieves were blockbusters. We are planning to release this film in August. Now, the regular shoot will commence from February 28th.” The cast included Ramyakrishna, Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, LB Sriram, Jayaprakash Reddy, Telangana Sakuntala, Raghubabu, Suman Setty and others.
