Uthama Puthiran Press Meet | DHANUSH APOLOGISES

Uthama Puthiran has been in the news for good and bad reasons. If the movie has got good reviews, controversy does not seem to be too far as well. With a certain section of people not happy with a dialogue in the movie, shows in movie halls for UTP were totally stopped in Salem, Karur and Coimbatore. The agitation was held by Kongu Velalar Munnetra Sangam in the mentioned cities.

A press meet was conducted today in Chennai to sort out the issue. This was attended by Dhanush and UTP director Mithran Jawahar and producer Mohan Appa Rao. Expressing grief over the controversy, Dhanush clarified that the dialogue was not intentional and it was not meant to hurt the sentiments of people. Informing that the objectionable scenes will be deleted, they pleaded that the shows be resumed as there are lakhs of investment involved in it.
