The Journey of the Film

It was interesting and enjoyable journey for the Cast, Crew & the Production team for this film. The team was put together in the month of Oct`08. The pre-production work lasted fo r6 months, which included day-wise planning for the shooting schedule.

Since the 1st day of shoot which commenced on the 11th March till the last day of the final schedule, we have had a very memorable journey. All in all we wrapped up the entire film`s shoot within a span of 60 days.

The most adventurous part was when we had to shoot the film in a number of locations in Tamil Nadu, from Chennai, to Chengleput, Virudhachalam, Pollachi, Theni, Udamalpet, Palani, OOty, Kodaikanal, Sengottai, Madurai, Tanjore and a few other locations before wrapping up the shoot at Chennai`s famous beaches.

It was a fantastic teamwork by the entire Crew, which ensured the timely completion of the film, with no compromise on the quality of visuals and production, despite the long journey.

Music of the Film – Major Highlight of KK

The Music of the Hindi original, Jab We Met, was a roaring hit and is played regularly even after two years in all the TV channels and radio stations. The challenge to the team was to re-create the magic by bringing out some outstanding tracks so that they can be converted visually in the film also beautifully.

After much discussion we decided on “Melody King” Vidyasagar, who had shown keen interest to do the music for this film, as he loved the original and wanted to show his mantle by giving the music for the Tamil version. He is without doubt one of Tamil industry`s most versatile Music Directors.

The 6 songs are extremely unique and everyone who has listened to it has been enthralled by its melody and high quality of music. Enthused by such a response, Moser Baer Entertainment has decided to released the music in its own label in order to market it better and ensure wider reach of this wonderful music album.

The lyrics were penned by Na Muthukumar, Yuga Bharathi and Kaargi and each one of them so soothing and interesting to listen to. The singers were chosen carefully by Vidyasagar to ensure quality songs. From Hariharan to Udit Narayan to Suresh Wadker to Rahul nambiar to Thippu & Lavanya, all have done justice to the songs.

Kanden Kadhalai's music is sure to live in the hearts of the people

The Lead Pair & their Involvement

The biggest contribution to the successful completion of the film came from Bharath & Tamannah, who despite being busy in three projects each, have shown total involveme3nt in the project right from the day one. Their involvement in the dialogues, screenplay, costumes, shooting and post production etc., were excellent and ever seen before in films. So much so, both of them have seen the edited version of the film after the first schedule, and have worked out plans individually on how to improvise their performance further, which greatly helped during the shooting.

Both Bharath & Tamannah lived the roles of Shakthi & Anjali and were fully prepared for each of the scenes and dialogues. The Direction team has conducted a screnplay-dailogues workshop for two days before commencing the shooting, which helped them to understand the requirements and be prepared.

It is the first time, in our experience, the lead artiste have shown tremendous involvement in every aspect of the film, which finally shows on the screen. Their excellent on-screen chemistry has made the film a visual beauty to watch

Comedy – Beautifully integrated in the film

The biggest addition in the film, apart from change in the cultural tone of the film was the comedy scenes by Santhanam, Manobala, Singamuthu, Mayilsamy, Pandu and others. Santhanam has once again proved his mantle in the film how he can bring in great relief to the audience by making them laugh even in serious situations. He played the role of Anjali's maternal uncle (Mokkai Rasu) and has made everyone laugh even during the shooting. His scenes were totally integrated with the film through a good screenplay and cannot be stated as a separate track by any means. The audience is going to enjoy his comedy scenes as much as they will enjoy the lead pair`s antics and the beautiful songs in the film.
