About Siruthai Tamil Movie
The cast and the crew were present recently at a press meet where they shared their experiences and gave out a brief outlook on the Siruthai Tamil movie. For the first time, Karthi is doing a dual role as a Police officer and as a Pick pocket. Karthi's brother Surya had given him suggestions in handling the role as a cop as he had already been into many films playing the role of a cop. Karthi's homework has been extended as he went through a lot number of books and few movies to get the perfect look of a police.
On the other part of the role, a pick pocket he got trained in the jail by the real life pick – pockets to justify the role. Karthi's success graph reached the pinnacle during the previous year movies – Aayirathil oruvan, Paiyaa and Naan Mahaan Alla came out to be big block busters of the year.
Tamannaah in Siruthai Tamil Movie
Tamannaah is playing the female lead role in Siruthai Tamil movie. This is the second movie after paiya starring karthi and tamannaah in the lead roles. Her role in this movie is a sweet, innocent and an easy to impress girl in this film. The chemistry between Karthi and Tamannaah has been at its best in the romantic scenes. She adds, "Though we are a registered pair, we look quite different in Tamil Movie Siruthai and our chemistry is pretty cool and I am very much comfortable working with him". All her costumes are typical Indian in Siruthai movie starring her in gaghras and half sarees.
Other features of Siruthai Tamil Movie
The music keys had their magic origin from Music Director Vidyasagar for a Mumbai based audio company – Venus. The audio of Tamil Movie Siruthai has been released the 30th of December. The top lyricists of the industry have penned lines more exciting to the movie. Music box of this movie restrains all variety of songs including a kutthu number, melody number and folks. An added feather to the cap is the one liner comedy scenes starring Santhanam. Overall the movie has a good number of expectations from both the mass and the class crowd. So watch out for a good movie for this festive season.

Pongal - Confusion in Kollywood Market
There is total confusion and bedlam in the Pongal market.
Two days before release (January 14), though producers of Kaavalan say it will release, chances are diminishing by the hour.
Siruthai has run into trouble as theatre owners are not willing to give high MG, which they had promised.
Even if Kaavalan releases for Pongal it will be only for Indian domestic market. It will release even in Tamil Nadu only if the litigations filed in the courts are sorted out.
As of now it looks that the film may release only on Pongal day (January 15), if all issues are sorted out.
Producer Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green was to release his Siruthai directly all over Tamil Nadu. He was the first person to book the theatres with whom he had worked out attractive Minimum Guarantee (MG) terms.
But after Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) meeting on Sunday, where they announced that "action will be taken by police against theatres that over charge and does not adhere to government rates", they backed out.
The Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association (TTOA) hit back and said at a press meet: "Pongal releases would be permitted to run in their theatres only if they were sold to them on a profit sharing basis".
They made it clear that for the first week they would demand 45 percent of share as theatre hire. The exhibitors say they are forced to overcharge the public in the opening weekend, as MG paid to big films have to be recovered.
The confusion prevailing in the market has to be cleared, which will take a day or so. Till then theatre are holding back the Pongal programming, which means some of the films planned for Friday (Jan 14) will be shifted to Jan 15 or 16!

A group of people staged a protest against Siruthai team in front of Karthi's residence in T Nagar, Chennai on Wednesday ( January 12). Nadar community, one of the prominent castes of Tamil Nadu, has objected that Rocket Raja is the name of their leader and using it for a thief's role in the film is an insult to their community. They have also demanded to change the name immediately.
However, the movie is releasing tommorow all across Tamil Nadu. The movie directed by Siva is a remake of Telugu blockbuster movie Vikramarkudu. The movie also features Tamanna Bhatia and Santhanam in the key roles.

Vijay has Chikku Bukku first… now Myna & then Siruthai
Vijay TV has entered the competition in a big way by procuring the satellite rights of latest releases. The channel had obtained the rights of the Arya-starrer Chikku Bukku and is treating its viewers this Pongal by airing the film.
Similarly, this private satellite channel has also bought the satellite rights of the blockbuster Myna and the Pongal release Siruthai, which has Karthi and Tamannah playing the lead.
With Vijay TV jumping the bandwagon of procuring the satellite rights of latest releases it poses a stiff competition to Sun and Kalaignar TV who were ruling the roost till now.
Similarly, this private satellite channel has also bought the satellite rights of the blockbuster Myna and the Pongal release Siruthai, which has Karthi and Tamannah playing the lead.

Nadar Makkal Katchi Protested against Siruthai
Nadar Makkal Katchi cadres protested against Actor Karthi. In Siruthai movie Karthi's name is Rocket Raja. But Nadar Makkal katchi is opposing this name, because its party leader's name is the same one. So they announced a protest against Karthi. This morning nearly 100 cadres went to Actor Shivakumar's house where Karthi is residing for holding demonstration. Police arrested them and evacuated.

Overview of Tamil movies on Pongal | Pongal releases movies
Pongal is one of the most eagerly awaited festivals in Tamil Nadu. The harvest festival, spanning three-four days, will be celebrated all over the state next week.
Film releases during Pongal is a must. There was a time when as many as 10 movies would release during Pongal. This year, will be have four major releases.
Kaavalan
Cast: Vijay, Asin
Director: Siddique
Music composer: Vidyasagar
Cinematography: Ekambaram.
Written and directed by hit Malayalam director Siddique, Kaavalan is the remake of the Malayalam big hit film Body Guard, starring Dileep and Nayantara.
With this, Asin comes back to Tamil cinema after a long gap.
A Vijay Pongal release is a festival for his fans! The only hitch is that all his last films had flopped and many theatre owners and distributors have asked the actor for compensation. The issue is yet to be sorted out.
If Kaavalan releases as planned, it will be the biggest release. If Siddique can repeat his Body Guard magic, it will bring back Vijay's winning streak. It will be his big ticket to politics too.

Tamannah, with whom he made the biggest hit of his career Paiyya, is his heroine in this film.
The film is directed by Siva (Sivakumar), who turned director with the Telugu film Souryam (Gopichand, Anushka) and Sankham (Gopichand and Trisha). The film is produced by Studio Green.

When Vetrimaaran and Dhanush came together in Polladhavan, it was a massive hit. They director-actor duo expect another hit from Aadukalam as well. But the director has warned the audience that Aaduklaam is of a different genre.
Delhi model Tapasee debuts as a Tamil heroine with this film. The film is distributed by Sun Pictures.

Siruthai Preview | Siruthai Story
‘Siruthai’ is an upcoming film starring Karthi in dual roles for the first time. Tamannah and Santhanam play the other central characters. ‘Siruthai’ is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster ‘Vikramarkudu’ starring Ravi Teja, Anushka and Brahmanadham.
‘Siruthai’ is directed by Siva, a noted cinematographer-director in Telugu known for fast pace commercial ventures like ‘Shouryam’ and ‘Shankam’. He is debuting in Tamil with this film.
In the film Karthi plays the role of a honest police officer Ratnavel Pandian IPS and a cutpurse petty thief Rocket Raja. Tamannah is Rocket Raja’s love interest. Santhanam is Pattu Poochi, the sidekick of Rocket Raja. Avinash, Rajiv Kanakala and Manobala are also in the cast. Meghna Naidu has done an item number.

‘Siruthai’ is about two contradicting characters, different values in the society. But destiny brings them together resulting in unexpected chain of events.
Rocket Raja (Karthi) is a cunning thief in the art of cut purse who never leaves anything during his acts. He and his side kick Pattu Poochi (Santhanam) follow this rituals wholeheartedly. Suddenly Rocket Raja’s life is turned upside down when a little girl (Baby Rakshana) approaches claiming him to be her father.
Stunned by the blow Rocket Raja slowly finds out the truth. The little girl turns out to be the daughter of an honest police officer Ratnavel Pandian IPS (Karthi) who was after the deadly dons in the city. During one his courageous acts he gets killed in action in front of Rocket Raja.
Rocket Raja and his past revisits changing the faces of present for a paradisiacal future. Rocket Raja now decides to take on the dons on behalf of the dead cop Ratnavel Pandian. The good takes on the evil.
‘Siruthai’ is the fifth film of Karthi and his second film with Tamannah after ‘Paiyaa’. The films is said to have the right mix of fun, action, glamour, romance, comedy and sentiments. According to Karthi, ‘Siruthai’ is 70% of comedy and 30% action.
Karthi has said that he did a lot of homework to make the two different characters look as original as possible. For the police officer role the actor said he got a lot of tips from his brother Suriya who did the immortal Anbu Selvan IPS in ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ and also watched a lot of old films like ‘Moondru Mugam’ to get that perfect style of a police like the Alex Pandian.
However the action and comedy are touted as the highlights of the film. In a stunt sequence Karthi bashes down 19 goons in a single shot.
Music of the film is composed by Vidyasagar. The music album released on December 30, 2010 has five songs in it. Velraj has handled choreography.
‘Siruthai’ is produced by Studio Green's K.E.Gnanavelraja who has produced only hits so far in Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, Paruthiveeran, Singam and Naan Mahaan Alla.
‘Siruthai’ is scheduled for a Pongal release.
