She is doing Sasi's next venture 'Easan' too.A source close to her says that she is playing the role of 'Naadodigal' in the Kannada remake of the movie, having Puneeth Rajkumar in the lead role.

Actress Meena bacame Mom
According to reports in the media, the baby was born at around 11.30 in the morning and both baby and her mother are in good health.
Meena Durairaj is housed at a well known hospital in the city of Chennai and could not be available for comment after the birth of her baby.
It was the mother of the Tamil actress who confirmed the good piece of news to the media in Chennai. Meena Durairaj's mother was visibly happy when she delivered her statement to the media.
The actress will have to spend a couple of days at the hospital before returning home, said her mother in a statement to the media. Meena Durairaj has been married to Vidyasagar, a software engineer based in Bangalore since July 2009.
The actress' homecoming from the Chennai hospital where she is currently putting up will start proceedings of deciding on a name for her baby girl. Meena Durairaj's mother has said that the name will be chosen keeping in mind the ruling stars and the time when the baby girl was born.
The actress' fans are also waiting to watch Meena Durairaj onscreen in her upcoming film Thambikottai. This New Year has brought not only professional but also personal fulfillment in the Kollywood actress' life.

I Lost many offers: Actress Sada revealed

Sadha said that she lost lot of offers due to Hindi films. She while speaking to the media said,” I got lot of offers after the hit film Jayam with Ravi which was released in Tamil and Telugu.
Later on I paired with Vikram in the film Anniyan which was directed by Shankar. This film was a great hit and earned me a great recognition in the South Indian languages.
After acting in 20 films in Tamil, Telugu , Kannada and Malayalam films, I decided to act in Hindi films. I acted in Hindi films Love Khichdi and Click. But these films did not release in time. The shooting of these films were commenced and was prolonging.
My call sheet was wasted. Since there was a condition that I can accept new films only after completing these films, I had to lose other opportunities. I cannot blame anyone for this. Currently I am acting in the Tamil film Puli Vesham (click here to view hot Meghna naidu in Puli Vesham) and in the Hindi film Kalpaali. In Kannada, I am acting in Mallari and Thunda Thundi.”

Pooja Gandhi brand ambassador for cricket
Well known Kannada film actress, Pooja Gandhi, is the brand ambassador for 'National Cricket Tournament for the Blind' which started at Bangalore's Mico ground.
The four day tournament will also be held at National Military School ground where a tough contest is expected between various state cricket bodies for the blind.

"I think I am very lucky to have been chosen as the brand ambassador for this great event. I support this event and want people to participate in large numbers and encourage talented visually challenged cricketers," said Pooja.
"I am sure we have some international level cricketers among the visually challenged," Pooja said.
The cricket tournament is being organised by Karnataka-based NGO, Samartham Trust.

Shankar IPS Review: Kannada Movie
'Shankar IPS' is the latest addition to the list of many Kannada commercial potboilers about honest police officers' drive against corrupt, cruel and cantankerous people.
Director M.S. Ramesh, who has already made films revolving around daring and committed police officers, has once again come out with a formulaic film that is a tedious watch. And the second half, which has too many lengthy monologues, tests the patience of the audiences. The viewers will definitely find it boring.
The film's hero Vijay has a tailor-made role and he seems to have worked hard to get six packs for his role. But this is surely not enough to entertain the audience. The film's predictable story has clichéd and preachy sequences.
It seems as if the director had Dialogue King Sai Kumar in mind while writing the script and dialogues. Vijay, who has always excelled in action sequences, mouths silly dialogues that sounds outdated.
Ramesh has to be, however, applauded for including a contemporary issue of acid attacks on unsuspecting, defenceless women in the story. Unfortunately, he doesn't focus on the issue that it deserves and passes off in a superficial manner.
The director is more interested in presenting Vijay in fights and tempting song sequences which may embarrass the female audiences. And not to forget those preachy dialogues that lack substance. The director has included dialogues related to parliament attack convict Afzal Guru's and Mumbai terror attack convict Ajmal Amir Kasab's hanging which may draw whistles from the front benchers.
The story goes like this - Shankar Prasad, an honest police officer, is prepared to take on any force that tries to stall his attempts to take on criminals, particularly who are engaged in attacking and abusing women.
He does not take orders from his superiors before carrying out his avowed intentions of attacking criminals. But he is asked to resign from his post after he takes up the cause of a successful model who becomes a victim of an acid attack.
After being sacked, Shankar decides to take the law into his own hands and kill all the criminals who are engaged in acid attacks.
Vijay suits the role well, but he is certainly out of place uttering outrageous and meaningless dialogues. Actresses Raagini and Catherine indulge in skin show, but yet prove their talents in a few sequences. Rangayana Raghu is too monotonous in his role, while other artists like Avinash and Shobharaj perform with ease.
Guru Kiran's music is average but the background score is much better. Nothing appreciative could be said about the quality of the cinematography.

Namitha and Meera Jaashmin in Kannada Movie 'Hoo'
